The Read AI MCP server now has 10 new tools: one that searches your meetings by what was said, and nine that let your AI assistant organize and share meetings in folders. That brings the total to 14 tools, available today to every account with MCP access.
Until now, your assistant could list your meetings by date, pull the details of a specific meeting, send a Read AI notetaker to a call, and share a meeting report. That works well when you know which meeting you want. It breaks down when the question is "where did we decide that?" or "pull together everything from the Acme deal." The new tools close both gaps.
search_meeting_agent: Finds the meetings where something was discussed, with a reason and a supporting excerpt for each.list_folders: Lists all of your folders.get_folder: Gets the details of one folder.list_folder_items: Lists the meetings in a folder, with the same detail as a single meeting.create_folder: Creates a private or shared folder.update_folder: Renames, recolors, or re-describes a folder.add_folder_items: Adds meetings to a folder, optionally a whole recurring series.remove_folder_items: Removes meetings from a folder without deleting them.share_folder: Shares a shared folder with someone by email.delete_folder: Deletes a folder, leaving its meetings untouched.Meeting search lets your assistant find meetings by topic, decision, person, or phrase, instead of by date. Ask "when did we agree to move the launch?" and a search agent on Read AI's side scopes your meetings, searches the transcripts, reads the likely candidates, and returns the best matches.
Each result comes with a one-sentence reason it matches and an excerpt from the transcript that backs it up. Your assistant can then open any result with get_meeting_by_id to read the summary, action items, or full transcript.
Your assistant can now do everything with folders that you can do in the Read AI app: create them, fill them, rename them, share them, and clean them up. Folders also give your assistant a natural scope, so "summarize the Acme folder" becomes a single request.
There are three kinds of folders:
The new tools are most useful together and alongside the ones you already have. Here are three requests to try in your AI assistant.
"Find every meeting where we discussed the Acme renewal, put them in a new shared folder called Acme Renewal, and share it with my account manager."
Your assistant searches by topic, creates the shared folder, adds the meetings, and shares the folder by email. Anyone joining the deal later gets the full history from one link.
"When did we decide to drop the free trial, and who pushed for it?"
Your assistant searches for the decision, then opens the best match to read the transcript around it. You get the answer with the meeting, the date, and the speakers, plus a link to the report.
"Summarize the action items from everything in my Enterprise folder this month."
Your assistant finds the folder, lists its meetings with their action items, and rolls them up into a single list grouped by owner.
If you already use the Read AI MCP server, the new tools are already available in your assistant. There's nothing to install or reconnect.
If you're new to it, connect Read AI to your assistant in a few minutes:
The MCP Server guide also documents all 14 tools, including what each one needs and what it returns. Your assistant only sees the meetings and folders you can access in Read AI, and it can only share what you're allowed to share.
