1. Make sure you have a calendar connected to Read
2. In settings, set your auto-join preferences to either “Allow Read to join all calendar invites” or “Allow Read to join calendar invites where I am the host”. You can also choose whether this applies to internal and external meetings.
3. Read will join your next Meet call as a participant, record, and generate meeting notes.
4. After the meeting ends, you can view the meeting report by visiting the Reports page in your Read Dashboard.
Manually add Read:
To manually add Read to a Google Meet meeting, you can use the Read Smart Scheduler extension for Google Chrome. After installing the extension and logging in to your Read account, you should see a popup notification every time you join a Meet call that Read hasn't already been added to.
Alternatively, you can visit your Calendar page in Read Dashboard and manually toggle on Read for any meetings you want it to join. A calendar must be connected to Read to use this method.
With Read Notetaker, you can easily take collaborative notes with other meeting participants, and organize them into different categories (notes, topics, actions items, and questions) for an organized recap after the call. The Read Notetaker app is available as a free Google Meet Add-On.
